The case involves James Shirah, who was sentenced in Genesee County court after pleading no contest to second-degree murder in connection with the death of Terry Taylor Jr..

According to court records and prosecutors, the incident occurred in Flint, Michigan, shortly after Shirah’s wedding in August 2024. Celebrations had continued at a private residence when an argument broke out among guests.
